Antiinflammatory Diet
Dietary pattern emphasizing foods that reduce systemic inflammation, modeled on the Mediterranean diet with added focus on omega-3s and polyphenols.
Core features: high intake of vegetables, fruits, fatty fish, extra-virgin olive oil, nuts, seeds, herbs and spices; limited processed foods, added sugars, and refined grains. Used adjunctively in rheumatoid arthritis, IBD, NAFLD, and cardiovascular disease where chronic inflammation is a driver.
