Autosomal dominant
Inheritance pattern of a gene on a non-sex chromosome in which only one copy of the gene is needed to express the trait.
A Mendelian inheritance pattern on autosomes (chromosomes 1-22) where a single copy of the variant allele is sufficient to produce the phenotype. Examples include familial hypercholesterolemia and hereditary hemochromatosis (in some forms).
