Mitochondria
Cellular organelles that produce energy via oxidative phosphorylation and host the tricarboxylic acid cycle.
Double-membrane organelles where the TCA cycle, β-oxidation, electron transport chain, and oxidative phosphorylation occur. The outer membrane is permeable; the inner membrane is selectively permeable and houses the ETC complexes and ATP synthase.
