How does this In-N-Out calculator work?
Add items from the menu — including the not-so-secret menu builds like Protein Style and Animal Style — and the totals update instantly. Every number comes from In-N-Out's published US nutrition data. Recipes vary slightly by location, so treat totals as accurate estimates.
How many calories in a Double-Double?
A Double-Double is 670 calories with 37 g protein. Animal Style pushes it to about 760, while Protein Style (lettuce wrap, no bun) brings it down to 520 with almost all the protein intact — one of the better bun-swaps in fast food.
Is Protein Style actually healthier?
It saves roughly 150 calories and 40 g of carbs by swapping the bun for lettuce — real money if you're watching carbs. A Protein Style cheeseburger is 330 calories with 18 g protein. It doesn't change the patty or spread, so fat stays; it's a carb lever, not a magic trick.
Is In-N-Out okay if I'm tracking macros?
The menu is short and honest, which makes tracking easy. A Double-Double clears 5 g protein per 100 calories; fries and shakes are where orders quietly double. The calculator grades your whole order so you can decide with eyes open.
